I had the weirdest dream...
I had a dream that I found a kitten and started playing with it. Suddenly, the kitten started having babies. I was shocked because this little tiny kitten was birthing even tinier kittens. I thought "Oh no, these babies arent going to be OK!". Long story short, there were several kittens born. Each of them was an odd color. None of them were normal, healthy kittens. One was born looking like a deformed ball covered in wet fur, with a tail sticking out of it. It was set aside until I could figure out what to do with it. It seemed dead. Anyway, some of the other birth defects (that I can remember) are: A kitten born with spiders coming out of it. A kitten born with a peg leg. A kitten born with one big eye and one itty bitty tiny eye (the ball kitten also had one small eye, but this other kitten basically had one eye). And all of them were fun colors.
After all the cats were born, I wondered what I should do with ball kitten. I looked at it and it winked at me with its good eye. I thought "crap, its alive. Now what do I do?" and my husband told me we need to quickly and painlessly put it out of its misery. I agreed, because I knew it wouldnt survive. I just didnt want to be the one to "put it outs of its misery". Just as I was about to pick it up, it unfolded, revealing a body and legs! It was sort of like a Popple I guess. I drew pictures in Paintbrush so you can see:
In my dream I listed them on craigslist. In the ad I wrote "Special needs kittens need homes". Haha, I woke up right after that. I wonder how this dream would have played out... I'm glad that I'll never know because I woke up feeling stressed about it!
I should blog about my dreams more. Theyre always weird. I'm only blogging about this one because I'm bored enough to do so.
Also, falling asleep while watching Andy Parker Private Investigator will result in odd dreams. I did that during a nap yesterday... Funny show though :)

Lindsay
Lively
Nurturing
Determined
Selfless
Artistic
You are so good looking!
Today is my dear, sweet Lindsay's birthday. I am SO blessed to have such an awesome best friend! She is really like a sister to me. I think that Heavenly Father has placed specific people in my life, whom I will be close to forever. No matter distance or time between us, I know that these people will always be in my heart. Lindsay is one of those people, and I thank Heavenly Father for bringing us together when he did, because I desperately needed her spirit in my life (and still do).
We have so many awesome memories, and we make new ones all the time! It is awesome to know that someone cherishes your friendship as much as you cherish theirs!
Some of our awesome memories include:
1.Walking around Monmouth late at night during an ice storm. We grabbed a hold of the back bumper of our friend, Jeremy's car, and got him to drive sorta slowly as we held on (15 mph really seems fast when youre hanging on to the outside of the car), and slid across the ice on our feet. It was super fun!
2. Puddle jumping in the rain all day, and getting BEYOND soaking wet.
3. Our maaaaaany trips to the humane society, to play with animals (and sometimes, adopt one).
4. Buying and decorating our first Christmas tree together, then decorating the entire apartment in snowflakes that hung from the ceiling.
5. Turning the kitchen floor into a slip-n-slide. Then playing on said slip-n-slide in our undies.
6. Singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow together
7. Road trips to the coast, to UT, to wherever we felt like going...
8. Dressing up like super heroes at like, 3am, then going to our friends apartments and taking pictures of ourselves in front of their front doors. Also taking pictures of ourselves in our friends trees, shrubs, etc. Oh, and also taking pictures of ourselves in front of the places we worked. And ALSO taking pictures of ourselves in Wal-Mart (well, a nice fellow who worked their, named Sean took the pictures).
9. Playing games of hide-n-seek in Wal-Mart (we lived really close to a Wal-Mart...).
10. Running into the woods in the middle of the night, in our underwear, to try and find her parents dog (the dog was chasing a racoon).
There are so many more memories! Those are just some of the highlights. I love this girl! She is the most genuine human being. She is caring and sweet and talented!!! SO TALENTED!!!! No one can sing as beautifully as my Lindsay! And everyone loves Lindsay. Even my sweet Penny, who lives and breaths to please me, loves Lindsay way more! Lindsay is always willing to let me practice being a photographer on her :) She's such a good sport! She is hands down one of the funniest people on the planet! She is awesome!
Lindsay always goes out of her way to build me up when she knows I'm down. She sends me text messages, or facebook messages, or calls whenever she can, just to say "I love you bestie!". She might not even realize how much that means to me.
Lindsay, your friendship means the world to me!
The WHOLE DANG world! :)

We dont really have any recent pictures of the two of us, although we even spent a good 3 weeks of the summer together house sitting for her parents in Coos Bay (where the half nekkid in the woods, looking for the dog, memory was created). Next time we get together, I'll have to insist that we take a friendship pic! Maybe in super-hero costumes? ha!
Thank You, Friend
Thank you, friend, for all the things
That mean so much to me--
You give abundantly.
For cheering me when I'm blue;
For bringing out the best in me;
And just for being you.
That stimulates my brain;
For silly times we laugh out loud;
For things I can't explain.
For all the time you spend;
For all the kind things that you do,
Thank you; thank you, friend.
Happy Birthday!!!!
L♥ve always,
me

I have the weirdest dreams!
Here are some of the highlights from last nights dream:
Lisa Cuddy from the show "House" was married to Mr. Sheffield from "The Nanny". Cuddy was given Brighton's (Mr Sheffield's son) old bedroom, and Brighton wasnt happy about that so he went into the bedroom and tried to break Cuddy's favorite chair. Cuddy decided she had better baby-proof her chair after that, so Brighton couldnt touch it anymore. She attached those door knob squeeze-n-turn thingys all over it, and that seemed to do the trick! Although Cuddy was married to Mr Sheffield, she was still in a relationship with House, from "House", who had announced to her that he was pregnant. Cuddy didnt believe him because she said he hasnt seen him have any morning sickness. House said that was because it always happened while Cuddy was busy working. Cuddy took him to the bathroom and busted out a pregnancy test that she wanted him to take, to prove it. Unfortunately, House had just gone pee, so he couldnt take it right then, and Cuddy thought that meant he was lying about the whole thing. Cuddy stormed out and went to her room, and House followed her with the un-used pregnancy test in hand, plus a flask to pee in. He wanted to prove to her that he didnt fake the test, so he planned on taking it in front of her, in her room if he had to. They hung out in her room for a little while, then House needed to pee! He took the pregnancy test and then ~*BAM*~ I was in a different dream. This time I was skateboarding through a mall that was going out of business. most of it was empty but there were still a couple stores. I stopped at a mattress store and checked out their sales. They were selling queen sized mattresses for $35! I really wished I hadnt spent all my money already. I skated away and found myself in the country, skate boarding down this winding road and Penny was following me. The missionaries stopped me and told me I needed to take a quiz to see how smart I am. I really didnt want to do it (because I hate tests) but did it anyway. I just filled in my name at the top and they said that was good enough lol. I skated further down the road and ran into a bunch of 20-something's trying to form a game of tag. They just needed one more person so when they saw me they were like "Youre here! Ok guys, we can get started". I told them I couldnt play because I was wearing flip-flops (but apparently I could still skateboard?) and this guy in the group insisted that I wear his shoes. I told him I would rather not wear his, but he wouldnt listen and tried to put them on my feet, so I just ran away. I ran across this wheat field and came to a stop at a trail which was COVERED with green grapes! I strarted frantically trying to pick them all up and throw them into a nearby creek (grapes are poison to dogs, and Penny was still with me). ~*BAM*~ I was in another dream. I was hanging out with some friends, and I noticed I had little red dots all over my legs. Then I noticed they were spreading all over my arms. Everyone wanted me to go home, so I went to the hospital and found out I had smallpox! ~*BAM*~ I woke up.
Thats all I can remember right now. If more comes to me, I'll be sure to add it in! lol

Well THAT was stupid...
I'm kicking myself right now. A couple nights ago I walked over to the kitchen sink to put a dish in it, and I looked down and saw this tiny little baby mouse drowning in a cake pan that was full of water. I felt so sad for it! I couldnt let the poor thing just drown. It was swimming around, barely able to keep its head above water. I know that might seem so disgusting to some people. Well I had 3 pet mice when I was little, as well as numerous hamsters. I think mice are cute :) I even like taking a little extra time when I'm in Petco, to watch them in the little class cages. Theres honestly nothing about mice that I think is gross, or freaks me out. So naturally, I couldnt let this poor little mouse just die like that, right in front of me.
I picked it up out of the water by its tale and set it on a napkin that was nearby. I called Mr Darling into the kitchen and showed it to him. He felt sorry for it too. This mouse was SO tiny. The little gal was maybe an inch and a half long and its legs were huge and kangaroo-ish in proportion to its body, which made it even more precious.
So its wrapped up in this napkin that I'm cupping in my hands. I'm totally distracted because I'm talking to Mr Darling about what we should do. I looked down and the little mousy had crawled out of the napkin and was heading towards my hand, which totally caught me by surprise and I screamed and dropped her on the ground. Then she just laid there COMPLETELY motionless, and I started to cry thinking I had killed it! Meanwhile, Mr Darling was probably thinking I had completely lost my mind, getting so emotional over a rodent (hey, it has been a stressful couple of weeks)! I scooped her back up and grabbed my beta's old fish bowl out of the closet, shredded up a couple of paper towels, and then put her in it with a piece of bread. I put her in front of the heater and just watched her. She didnt move at all, except for the occasional twitch :( It was sad.
I had to get to work on some stuff in the office, so I brought her in there with me and set her on my desk so I could keep my eye on her progress. I decided to name her Mizu, which means mouse in Japanese. She stood up after a little while and started nibbling the bread. Then she would fall back over and just lay there, twitching. Then she would stand up again and eat, then fall back over... this went on for about an hour. I needed to get to bed, so I put saran wrap over the opening of the bowl and cut a little air hole in the middle of it. Obviously I didnt want her getting out in the middle of the night. When I woke up the next day I went straight to the office, worried I would find her dead. I looked into her bowl... kept looking... looking... yeah, she was gone. That little mouse had recovered and literally JUMPED OUT of the bowl through that little hole in the saran wrap!!! There was no way she would have been able to climb the sides, so jumping out was the only way, and I still cant figure out how she did it.
That night I spotted little Mizu in the kitchen, at least 8 or 9 times, running amok and doing whatever the heck she felt like doing. I knew it was her because her fur was all matted because it dried funny.
Now I'm sad because, although I really do like pet mice, I do NOT like mice in my kitchen. They poop and pee wherever they go and its disgusting. Now little Mizu must die :(
So I'm feeling really stupid. I nursed that little mouse back to health, just so she could escape back into "the wild" where I will find her, and kill her. Am I sick? lol
She's too little to set off the traps we put out. I accidentally caught her walking all over one (I dont like to look at the traps because I worry there will be a mouse in it. Mr Darling checks them every hour though) and eating the bate off of it. She's too little for it to even register that she's on it. We have resorted to poison. I feel bad they will have to suffer (I'm sure being poisoned isnt a very comfortable way to die)...
And its not like she's the only mouse that has made itself at home here. I know that if she's out there, there have to be tons more. Why did they have to come HERE!? I hate killing little critters!
Well, merry freaking Christmas, mice.
Here are some pictures I took of little Mizu, before she pulled a Houdini and jumped ship in the night.
Dear Mizu,
I really wish you would have stayed in your fish bowl. You would have only needed to stay there until morning, and then I was going to buy you a nice new house with tubes, an exercise wheel, and an endless supply of food and water. But you didnt stay. You escaped. And now you are going to die. Because you see, Mizu. I cant JUST poison all your little mouse friends, and not poison YOU. Trust me, I wish it could be that way, but it cant. I hope you have a quick death, with little or no pain. I know you'll enjoy mouse heaven. Please say hello to Mrs Mouse 1, and Mrs Mouse 2, as well as that boy mouse I had who's name I cant remember. If Chewy and Scratchy happen to be there as well (do hamsters and mice share a heaven?) , send them my love. They were my favorite hammys.
Sincerely,
your 5-minute-mama
